Here is a video I found which is really interesting and helpful for HD make up application. (BBC COLLEGE OF PRODUCTION OF MAKE UP TIPS FOR HD: YOUTUBE)
MAKE UP
HD, Television or Film make up is slightly different to normal day to day make up application. As HD cameras are such good quality they can pick up certain bad patches of the face or body up. Insuring make up is flawless is key to HD make up.
Preparation is very important with any make up application but specifically for high definition make up. HD cameras will pick up any imperfections such as redness, discolourations and dry skin. You need ensure these are dealt with accordingly before applying any foundation bases with moisturising and exfoliating etc. Preparing the canvas is key.
After preparing the skin for make up application, it is then time to apply a base. Many professional make up artists who work for big companies like BBC use airbrushing. It's a quick and effective way to apply a smooth and even foundation base to the client.
You can pretty much use any make up in your kit for HD camera ready make up, but to save time there is specific products to help you, you can buy these from brands like Smashbox and Make-up Forever.
Learning what products to set the make up with is vital, this will show up badly on camera if the powder product is applied badly to the foundation. If you apply too much it will become cakey and show up on camera.
HAIR
HD hairstyling is only meant that hair is neat, with no unwanted fly aways and is hair sprayed in to place. Also hair needs to be washed and prepared accordingly as a HD camera would pick up any grease or oils in the hair.
